There have been plenty of socialites and reality TV stars in the past, but none have reached the levels of success and market saturation of the Kardashian-Jenner franchise. At the heart of their relentless work ethic, eye for empire-expanding opportunities and brilliant marketing is Kris Jenner.

I think that given the opportunity, somebody could really learn a lot just being around me and the girls because it’s really nonstop, 24/7 brainstorming and creativity and just trying to get organized and really pack a lot into a day — being there nonstop with all engines blazing.

Here’s How To Become Kris Jenner’s Assistant, According To Kris Jenner | Huffington Post

Before she was the “momager” — a title she trademarked — Jenner was a flight attendant. She married attorney, Robert Kardashian, when she was 23, and the couple had four kids together: Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob. They divorced in March 1991, and in the same year, Jenner married retired Olympian Bruce Jenner, with whom she had two daughters with: Kendall and Kylie.

With six kids came a lot of expenses. “We got married. And we didn’t have a lot of money,” she told CBS News. “But we had a lot of kids. And we had to get a big house. And everybody was in private school. So, start there. And I was like, ‘We gotta figure this out.'” At the time, the family’s main source of income was Bruce’s motivational speeches, so Jenner took over and applied her hustle to grow the business.

“I told my assistant, Lisa, “OK, listen. We have the greatest guy here. He really knows his craft. He is really good at what he does, but he doesn’t have anybody doing anything for him. He doesn’t have a lot going on. He has $200 in the bank. What are we going to do?” Because the kids have to eat. We have to get it together,” she explained in an interview with Janet Mock.

Jenner worked hard on promoting Bruce’s business to the right people. “She put together press kits and contacted speakers’ bureaus,” according to The New York Times, and it wasn’t long before major brands like Coca Cola, VISA, Toyota, Kawasaki, Maytag, Mack Trucks, Chrysler and IBM came calling.

It was a mix of blood, sweat and tears, enthusiasm, determination and just never sleeping and getting the word out there.

These days, Jenner doesn’t need to work too hard to get the word out. One Instagram post ought to do it for her. She’s the executive producer of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and their multiple spinoffs (Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Khloé & Lamar and more). In addition to that she also manages the careers of all six children, as well as her own.

On a typical day, Jenner is up at 5am, after getting 6 to 7 hours of sleep. “I used to go on 4 to 5 but the older I get the more sleep I need,” she said in a Good American interview. After having her coffee and doing a quick email scan, she gets in a workout — either on the treadmill or some Pilates.

Breakfast is usually a smoothie — “that’s my go-to every single morning. So, it’s water, ice, protein powder, berries, half a banana, protein powder, did I say protein powder? And almond butter.”

Then she’s usually in the office by 9am. As the brains behind the Kardashian-Jenner media empire, Jenner lives and dies by her schedule. “I probably look at my family schedule and my personal schedule about once an hour,” she said.

A 2018 Huffington Post profile gave readers a glimpse of a typical day in Kris Jenner’s life:

It was filled with phoners, meetings, recording “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” throughout the day, glam, picking up daughters at various hotels, multiple outfit changes with Tommy Hilfiger, attending the Business of Fashion dinner, then racing to the airport at midnight to hop on Kylie and Travis Scott’s plane.

At the end of the day, Jenner likes to wind down from her day by Facetiming her kids and having a “wine down” or, rather, a “vodka down,” as corrected by Kourtney during an interview for her website Poosh.

Get a lot of sleep and really take care of yourself. I think the more that I work out and stay strong and stretch and do all the things they’ve been telling me to do for decades, the stronger I feel so the better I work.
