1) To kick things off, could you tell us a little about your career background and current role?

For more than 3 years now, I have been the CEO and co-founder of HypeAuditor and we are on our way to becoming the standard in the market of Influencer Marketing tools.

After having worked in the technology sector for more than 12 years, I finally decided to set up a company that I can be proud of and that can change the face of an entire industry.

HypeAuditor is not just a set of tools for effective Influencer Marketing (IM), but the embodiment of the desire to elevate and move the entire industry forward, to make IM more transparent, fair and effective.

2) What does a day in the life look like for you? Can you take us through a recent workday?

I wake up at 8am, do some exercises, have breakfast, check email, check projects in Asana, talk to colleagues and partners over Zoom, and read industry news about influencer marketing.

After a working day, I spend time with my family or go to a martial arts training session. In the evening, I try to spend less time on mobile devices so that my sleep is healthier. In general, these activities tend to fill up my day.

3) Does your current role allow for flexible or remote working? If so, how does that fit into your life and routine?

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the entire team at HypeAuditor has been working remotely. Initially, it was difficult to adjust and there were doubts about the effectiveness of this model of work. But over time, I can note that the team’s efficiency has significantly increased compared to the time when we worked in the office.

4) What does work-life balance mean to you and how do you work to achieve that goal?

I love my job. Work-life balance to me means doing a job that you love so you don’t feel like you’re working every single day, as Confucius puts it. But it’s also about setting clear boundaries for yourself.

While I love my job, I also make it a priority to nurture my family and myself. If you are clear on your boundaries, they will become clear to those around you as well. I am a happy person because I do what I love, for work and during my personal time.

5) In the past 12 months, have you started or stopped any routines or habits to change your life?

I started meditation. I began to regularly devote 10 minutes every day to meditate. It changed my life a lot. I became more aware.

6) Do you have any favourite books, podcasts or newsletters that you’d like to recommend?

Principles by Ray Dalio is a really good book. Dalio’s principles provide great direction for all people working in organisations, big or small.

7) Are there any products, gadgets or apps that you can’t live without?

As the apps will vary depending on the country I’m in, I will list the categories instead.

  • Messenger apps – WhatsApp or Telegram
  • Baking app
  • Taxi app
  • Food delivery app
  • Slack

8) If you could read an interview about work-life balance by anyone, who would that be?

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook. I’m keen to find out how he juggles it all.

9) Do you have any last thoughts on work, life or balance that you’d like to share with our readers?

If you don’t like what you do, then you cannot do your job really well. Find something you like, you will be happier and the success and money will follow.
