1) To kick things off, could you tell us a little about your career background and current role?

I started off as a Co-founder of TheMobileGamer Pte Ltd, a venture-backed company which did 2 rounds of fundraising before we secured a partial buyout by Singtel and Softbank (SSBI) in 2012.

Thereafter, I did 1 year of equity trading before moving on to become CFO/COO for Wildfire Pte Ltd which was acquired by Linkfluence in 2015.

Between mid 2016 to 2018, Casper worked on pricing strategy and unit economics in Laku6 (acquired by Carousell in 2022) before finally joining Golden Gate Ventures as the Head of Portfolio Finance.

Focusing mainly on numbers (growth, finance, statistics), I am fortunate to experience 3 exits ((TMG (2012), Wildfire (2015), Laku6 (2022)) and completed many rounds of fundraising.

I am currently the founder and CEO of Svested Pte Ltd, a company which I founded in 2021. Our mission is to help founders to understand and better structure their ESOP for growth. We have also expanded into corporate secretarial services to better serve our clients.

2) What does a day in your life look like for you? Can you take us through a recent workday?

My daily schedule fluctuates a lot depending on the requirements. But in general, I will be having lots of meetings, from internal meetings, sales calls, interviews to client onboarding, accounting and such.

3) What does work-life balance mean to you and how do you work to achieve that goal?

I find that it is very important to strike a balance between work and life. You can sprint for a short period but you cannot sprint forever. For myself, I try to work around my work schedule and set aside time for gym and self reflection.

Elon Musk, Kobe Bryant, Naomi Osaka, Simone Biles, receive a new daily routine each week about some of the most successful people in the world.

4) In the past 12 months, have you started or stopped any routines or habits to change your life?

I use to do more BodyCombat and BodyPump, these days I added Yoga such as BodyBalance, Gentle Flow to my routine

5) If you could read an interview about work-life balance by anyone, who would that be?

I would prefer to see a consolidated summary as everyone has a different personality and ways to cope with stress. Would be great to understand more.

6) Do you have any last thoughts on work, life or balance that you’d like to share with our readers?

Haha, personal opinion, hit the gym class and do some Yoga. It helps.

Before you go…
