Meghann Nikola didn’t set out to open just another skin clinic. After a career in science and pharmaceutical marketing, and a personal skin transformation post-pregnancy, she saw a gap: women wanted real results, honest advice, and one place that felt both elevated and welcoming. So she built Rêve Skin + Beauty — a warm, all-in-one space in Sydney’s Inner West offering skin, nails, lashes, brows, and wellness rituals under one roof. As a solo parent and founder, Meghann shares how she blends clinical insight with intuition, builds confidence through care, and creates a beauty experience that goes far beyond the surface.
What sparked your interest in skin and beauty, and how did that passion evolve into your own business?
My love of skin started early; my grandmother gave me a Clinique kit when I was 12, and I was fascinated. Science was always my passion too, which is why I first went into laboratory science instead of dermal science. Years later, after having my daughter in my late 30s, I found myself with skin that really needed attention.
I went on a personal journey with advanced lasers, peels, and evidence-based home care, inspired by educators like Caroline Hirons. With consistency, I saw a complete transformation in my skin and my confidence. I was so open about that process with friends and colleagues, and it made me realise how much women crave honest guidance; that’s what inspired me to build my own clinic.
Coming from a background in science and pharmaceutical marketing, how did you bridge the gap between clinical knowledge and customer care?
My career in science and pharmaceutical marketing gave me a unique bridge into beauty. I worked alongside clinicians to deliver data-driven support while also designing patient programs that centred on education and empowerment. That blend of clinical precision and empathy shaped how I built Rêve Skin + Beauty. Every treatment, room, and interaction has been designed through the lens of anticipating what a client might need, before she even realises it herself. For me, true luxury is about seamless, thoughtful care grounded in clinical expertise.
As a founder and single mum, what does your daily routine look like and how do you carve out time for yourself?
It’s taken some adjustment, and I won’t say it’s always easy, some days flow better than others. Like many working parents, I start the day with my daughter, we have breakfast together and get ready for school. I like to fit in a workout before heading into the clinic, where my mornings are for admin and my afternoons are spent with my team and clients.
I’m fortunate to have an au pair who helps with school pick-up and activities, which means I can focus in the clinic. Evenings are our family time, with rituals like Friday movie nights and Sunday baking. I plan my week on Sunday evenings, and I make sure to schedule dinner with a friend at least twice a week to recharge
What do you think women really want from their beauty experiences today and how are you trying to meet that need differently?
In a time when beauty can feel overwhelming and full of mixed messages, I believe women are seeking something simpler but more powerful: real results, delivered with transparency and honesty. They’re also looking for a sense of genuine connection, which is often missing in today’s beauty landscape.
At Rêve, I’ve set out to create that sanctuary, an elevated, luxurious environment that still feels warm and accessible. What makes us different is that everything is under one roof, skin, nails, lashes, brows, and advanced treatments, so women don’t have to juggle multiple appointments across the city. It’s not about intimidation or exclusivity; it’s about redefining beauty maintenance into an experience that’s effortless, supportive, and truly transformative.
What’s one thing you’ve learned about confidence through working so closely with women?
I’ve learned that confidence flourishes when women feel supported by themselves, by their peers, and by the environments they step into. When women truly champion one another, extraordinary things are possible. At Rêve, that belief underpins everything we do: creating a space where women feel empowered, uplifted, and connected, so their confidence radiates well beyond the clinic
Looking back on your journey so far, what’s a decision or moment you’re especially proud of?
For me, the proudest moment was walking away from the comfort and security of the corporate world to back myself. It was daunting, but I believed deeply that women were craving a space like Rêve, somewhere all their beauty needs could be met in one place, without the stress or intimidation. Seeing that idea resonate with women across Sydney has made every risk worthwhile.
