The New Primal Blueprint Food Pyramid

During some research for this website, I came across a cool new food pyramid by Mark Sisson called the Primal Blueprint Food Pyramid.

For those of you who don’t know Mark Sisson; he is an American fitness author and blogger, and a former distance runner, triathlete and Ironman competitor. Mark is the author of the highly influential The Primal Blueprint, which extensively covers the Paleo diet, and also blogs regularly at his website Mark’s Daily Apple.

We’re looking to partner with companies that share our passion to promote healthy work-life balance around the world. Get in touch with us!

As you can see from the pyramid, an ideal diet would be largely based on lots of vegetables, meat protein and healthy fats like avocado, coconut oil, nuts and butter. Moderation food includes nutritious carbs, fruits and high-fat dairy, with supplements at the top.

It’s actually pretty crazy for me looking at this food pyramid and thinking back to the one we were taught about in primary school. Remember that one? The food pyramid with all the pasta, rice and bread at the bottom, and meat and fats all the way at the top? Yeah, what happened there?

If you’re interested in learning more about the primal food pyramid, definitely hit up Mark’s blog and check out his new book – The New Primal Blueprint: Reprogram Your Genes for Effortless Weight Loss, Vibrant Health and Boundless Energy.
