Describe what you do: I’m the Workforce Development Manager at Women’s Health Victoria leading a project to develop a Course in Gender Equity. I am a fellow of the Australian Institute of Training and Development and active member of Women in Adult and Vocational Education and Adult Learning Australia, and a passionate advocate for adult education and lifelong learning.
How do you like your coffee: Thanks but I would prefer a soy chai latte if that’s possible.
Device(s) you use: In the office a HP laptop with 2-monitor set up, at home a Microsoft Surface Go, a Samsung S20 for the amazing camera and my Fitbit Inspire HR to remind me to move!
Describe your working style in one sentence: A 5km walk starts my day with focus, train to work (pre COVID-19) takeaway chai, in my reusable cup, of course, followed by a day of stakeholder management, I prefer to talk on the phone /Zoom or in person rather than email, I lead an amazing team who teach me something new on a daily basis, meditation keeps my day in balance.
What does your workspace look like: In the office my 2-monitor set up allows me to have multiple screens and documents open at one time, a lot of my work is around managing stakeholders and developing educational resources, editing and proofing materials; this set up works well.
Headset for online meetings and listening to my Spotify play lists. An open window for fresh air and plants which are important for my workspace, as is my journal for taking notes old style.
Do you have a favourite playlist for work: Spotify – Complete Joe Cocker.
Who would you like to nominate for the next workflow interview: My sister, Lindy Parker.
