In this edition of Workflow, we have Bianca Librandi (nominated by Sarah Fritz), Founder & Designer at White November Jewellery, talking about the importance of natural lighting for her workspace.
Describe what you do: At White November Jewellery everyday is so different. Some days I’m answering emails other days I’m visiting gem suppliers to source the perfect gemstones for my clients and other days I’m working on designs for my latest range. I love the variety and freedom to work my days around exercise and keeping in touch with family and friends.
How do you like your coffee: I quit coffee about 1.5 years ago! I used to drink it black.
Device(s) you use: iPhone, iMac and Canon Camera.
Describe your working style in one sentence: My working style changes daily, sometimes I’m super productive in the morning and other times I prefer to work later in the day, I guess it all depends on my energy levels.
What does your workspace look like: Lots of natural night and space, collages and gemstone posters on the walls. My iMac and books are on one side of the room and my jewellers bench is at the other side of the room. I am lucky enough to have a whole room to myself. I have worked out of a cold and dark garage in the past so its a beautiful change.
How does your workspace affect your creative process: I love the natural light in my studio/workspace. The space has huge floor to ceiling windows overlooking a garden – this really boosts my creativity.
Do you have a favourite playlist for work: I love anything from Anjunadeep while i’m working.
Who would you like to nominate for the next workflow interview: Bianka Velevska from Brand.ing.
