Describe what you do: I manage the website and marketing automation teams for Barclaycard Business, the B2B payments part of Barclays. It’s a hybrid between a marketing role and a technical role, so some days are spent looking at customer journeys and page designs, others at web dev prioritisation backlogs. I also run a side business Career Dad, focussing on supporting dads at work.
How do you like your coffee: Constantly full. But white Americans, ideally with soya milk
Device(s) you use: Windows laptop + 32″ TV as a second screen, iPhone and MacBook Pro
Describe your working style in one sentence: Collaborative. I love working with others to solve complex solutions. I really miss face-to-face time right now.
What does your workspace look like: I’m lucky enough to have secured a room in our house a few years ago and made it into an office. However, it’s an office-cum-baby room. There’s baby toys all over the floor. But I have a desk, a whiteboard, a sofa and a couple of guitars. It’s pretty nice.
Do you have a favourite playlist for work: I spend most of my days on calls so music is off most of the time. However, when I need to zone out and write I like listening to piano music, and when I’m doing repetitive tasks where I need to concentrate I like rock.
Who would you like to nominate for the next workflow interview: Lewis Maleh, founder of Bently-Lewis.
