Workflow with David Sorauer, Director of Evolocity

In this edition of Workflow, we have David Sorauer (nominated by Sharon Melamed), Director of Evolocity, talking about taking frequent breaks, and his portable workspace.

Working from home and need some inspiration? Grab your copy of our Workflow book. Beautifully designed with gorgeous home office photos and stories from people around the world.

Describe what you do: I run an SEO and digital marketing agency in Sydney that helps small and medium businesses get more leads and sales.

How do you like your coffee: Plentiful and frequent! Mostly long black.

Device(s) you use: Microsoft Surface Pro, a large power bank for working on the go and Android phone with noise-cancelling earphones.

Describe your working style in one sentence: Distraction free where possible, but with frequent breaks to keep productive.

What does your workspace look like: Minimalist and portable. I work mostly from home but don’t like to be reliant on my setup, so I’m able to work in any room or on the go and from a shared office which I try to do at least one day per week.

How does your workspace affect your creative process: Being organised and with a view of the outside world helps foster my creative process. Being able to change workspaces relatively easily if things aren’t flowing works for me. I often chose to work close to water when I need to be especially creative.

Do you have a favourite playlist for work: I mostly listen to the top 50 playlist on Spotify.

Who would you like to nominate for the next workflow interview: Amanda Harvey.
