In this edition of Workflow, we have Garreth Dorey, the Co-Founder of NTWRK, talking about conducting business calls on the beach and downing double espressos.
Describe what you do: I am the co-founder of NTWRK. My day job consists of business financials, client meetings, new business development, client work briefings with the team, client workshops and strategy sessions. Oh and of course school drop offs/pickups for my daughter.
How do you like your coffee: Long black mostly, have been enjoying double espresso’s as well to get me firing.
Device(s) you use: Macbook, iPhone, AirPods, Sonos speakers.
Describe your working style in one sentence: I am an early starter, get through client emails, internal meetings and then onto client calls, client strategy work and then new business development.
What does your workspace look like: We moved out of our last space just before COVID isolation which was lucky. Now it is from home or calls while walking the beach. Normal office environment would consist of open plan, loads of whiteboard space, some greenery and common area for coffee and conversations.
How does your workspace affect your creative process: I like it to be fun, vibrant and non-corporate. Then is makes me feel motivated, fun and engaged which shows in my work.
Do you have a favourite playlist for work: Triple J Like a version would be my most played, depends on my mood through. Could also vary from Foo Fighters to Fleetwood Mac.
Who would you like to nominate for the next workflow interview: Wes Fischer.
