Workflow with Lauren Johnson, Senior Digital & Executive Recruitment Consultant

In this edition of Workflow, we have Lauren Johnson, Senior Recruitment Consultant at Talent, talking about being ruthless with time and listening to old school punk rock.

Working from home and need some inspiration? Grab a copy of our Workflow book. Beautifully designed with gorgeous home office photos and stories from around the world.

Describe what you do: I’m a Senior Recruitment Consultant at Talent – Australia’s largest privately owned recruitment company. I partner with technology businesses to build out workforces in the Product Management, Marketing and Executive spaces.

How do you like your coffee: Soy Mocha, no exceptions!

Device(s) you use: In the office: Windows computer with two monitor set up. At home: MacBook Pro and/or HP Spectra (depending on how I’m feeling that day!) and iPhone 11 Pro with AirPods.

Describe your working style in one sentence: Fluid. It changes daily! I’m usually very organised and ruthless with my time, but every day last minute meetings, projects or urgent roles pop up that require you to throw your plan out the window and get sh*t done! During the day is conversations, all day – I’m on the phone constantly which I love. Admin is saved for the afternoon/evenings.

What does your workspace look like: OCD level neat and VERY boring. At both my work office and home office, my desk is against windows which is beautiful. On my desk I have my laptop, a notebook and a bottle of water or coffee – that’s it! But the computer  is a completely different story. I usually have an eye-twitch inducing amount of tabs open.

Do you have a favourite playlist for work: Old school punk rock – it’s not very relaxing, but it definitely keeps me pumped up!

Who would you like to nominate for the next workflow interview: My colleague, Scarlett Cooke.
