In this edition of Workflow, we have Sarah Fritz, founder of workplace anti-bullying initiative, Yes Queen, and co-founder of creative and brand agency St Dakota.
Describe what you do: I am the Co-Founder and Strategy Director of St Dakota creative agency – I study marketing trends and future consumers as well as creative concepting and copywriting. I am also the Founder of not for profit platform Yes Queen – a workplace anti-bullying initiative hyper-focused on wellness and self-development.
How do you like your coffee: I (bravely) swapped almond lattes for almond chai lattes this year.
Device(s) you use: MacBook Air, Apple 24 inch LED monitor, iPhone Xr, Bose Soundlink III, Sennheiser headphones, BLUblox blue light glasses.
Describe your working style in one sentence: I jump between methodical and messy – one day I am the super organised to-do-list-girl the next I am multi-tasking with too many tabs open. I try to be fluid with how I operate; it keeps me open, creative and surprisingly sane!
What does your workspace look like: Neat freak at the beginning of the day, by the end it’s a creative (or chaotic) sprawl. My desk is adorned with crystals, Mario Badescu Hydrating Face Mist, ULUNA essential oils, magazines and my paper Moon Dairy.
With everything so digital I enjoy balancing my space with high energy tactile self care items and well, nostalgia with the diary, trying to hang onto my pen licence.
How does your workspace affect your creative process: Our ‘hoffice’ is in the middle of the Sunshine Coast hinterland which means we’re afforded consistent calm energy – this is an amazing location for a creative agency as ideas flow and flourish throughout the space – whether it’s on a mountain walk, meditation on the hill or at our desk which has a window out to the forest. The closeness to nature definitely facilitates an unfiltered creative process.
Do you have a favourite playlist for work: Progressive techno or chill – depending on mood and tasks.
Who would you like to nominate for the next workflow interview: Bianca Librandi, Founder & Head Designer, White November Jewellery.
