Describe what you do: Typeface design and typography.

How do you like your coffee: Anything but black.

Device(s) you use: iMac 27″ with a second monitor.

Describe your working style in one sentence: Interrogate the brief to achieve a custom solution.

What does your workspace look like: Messy, full of books, tools and papers. And other random stuff like guitars and chunks of wood. And a big stack of vintage boxes which I collect, and think I will use someday, but probably won’t, which gives my wife the shits. I have always believed that a clean desk is a sign of a sick mind.

How does your workspace affect your creative process: I have always wanted one of those cluttered studios that has a productive workshop vibe, crammed full of teetering shelves overstocked with stuff and a workbench covered in tools. Years ago I visited the workshop of a bespoke shoemaker which was exactly like that. So, in a way, I have achieved my dream but, really, it’s just mess. Even my tax folder is an old fruit crate.

Do you have a favourite playlist for work: Blues, without a doubt. And Pink Floyd. Electric guitar, and lots of it.

Who would you like to nominate for the next workflow interview: Sophie Elinor.
